Winning projects will receive time on DOE supercomputers at Argonne National Lab and Oak Ridge.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Innovative and Novel Computational Impact on Theory and Experiment program (INCITE) is seeking proposals for research projects that will run on the DOE’s supercomputers. According to the announcement, the program will “… provide an opportunity for researchers to pursue transformational advances in science and technology through large allocations of computer time and supporting resources at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) and the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF).”

The program is open to researchers from academia, industry, and government, and possible subjects include “traditional simulation-based projects,” as well as big data and machine learning proposals.

The deadline for proposals is June 22, 2018. See the DOE website for more on proposal requirements.
