DOE’s 2024 INCITE Program Is Accepting Proposals
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced that it is now accepting proposals for the 2024 Innovative and Novel Impact of Theory and Experiment (INCITE) program. The goal of the INCITE program is to help researchers pursue “… transformational advances in science and technology through large allocations of computer time and supporting resources at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) and the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF).”
The INCITE program, which is open to researchers from around the world, will award up to 60% of the allocatable time on some of DOE’s most advanced HPC systems, including the Oak Ridge National Laboratory’s 1.1 exaflop Frontier supercomputer.
According to Argonne National Laboratory’s Director of Science Katherine Riley, “DOE’s leadership-class supercomputers are world-leading scientific tools, and the INCITE program provides researchers with entry to these valuable resources. We are proud to say that INCITE can support the most ambitious, long-term research campaigns.”
Possible topics range from simulation to data science and machine learning. This year’s INCITE once again commits 10% of the allocatable time to an Early Career Track for researchers who have earned a doctorate within the past 10 years.
The deadline for proposals is June 16. For more information, see the Call for Papers and the announcement at the Argonne National Laboratory website.
