CIQ Previews Rocky Linux - Hardened
CIQ is offering a technical preview of Rocky Linux from CIQ - Hardened, which is optimized for mission-critical environments with strict security requirements.
According to the company, the security-focused distribution provides the latest version of Rocky Linux, preconfigured against key threat vectors and actively updated with all patches.
The distro includes features such as:
- System-level hardening to minimize zero-day and CVE risks.
- Advanced threat detection with Linux Kernel Runtime Guard (LKRG).
- Strong access controls including advanced password hashing and strict authentication policies.
- Interoperability features to simplify migration and reduce the risk of vendor lock-in.
Rocky Linux from CIQ - Hardened packages are delivered via secure supply chain from trusted sources. And, the company says, the distribution comes with indemnification guarantees “that eliminate your risk and liability in the case of legal issues against the open source software.”
