Conclusions
If you do not want to commit to Red Hat's own OpenShift PaaS solution, nothing is stopping you from implementing the combination of Gluster storage, Docker, and Kubernetes, although it means a huge amount of extra work, particularly for integration with development environments, because they are not provided by the above-mentioned tools alone.
