Application-centric and central IT automation makes a company fit for DevOps, containers, hybrid clouds, IoT, and other future IT trends. Stating that you have no time for automation is a dangerous position to take and can lead to your organization losing its competitive edge. Automation is the basic requirement for agile IT, which enables companies to provide customers with the user experience and products with which they are comfortable. Containers are only the latest technological element to make this process easier. Without application-centric automation and policy-driven infrastructure provisioning, however, even containers cannot meet the high expectations of management.
