Serverless Architecture Lags in Adoption

FaaS and serverless architecture are not as popular as container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.

Containers and microservices are used three times as often as Functions-as-a-Service and serverless architecture, according to recently published research from cloud infrastructure provider DigitalOcean.

“The trifecta of containers, container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and microservices are commonly used in the workplace, but serverless and Functions-as-a-Service lag behind in adoption by organizations,” reports Lawrence Hecht.
