DRBD Management Console Can Now Handle LVM Volumes
Linbit has released the latest version 0.9.7 of the DRBD management console. The GUI frontend can now be used to manage logical LVM volumes on Linux servers. In an announcement to the mailing list developer Rasto Levrinc says he has fixed some bugs, too, among them a display problem with KDE and the compiz compositing/window manager.
The DRBD management console is a graphical frontend for the management of high available Linux clusters using Pacemaker and the DRBD block replication software. It's compatible with Heartbeat 2.1.3 and Pacemaker 1.1.5 with Corosync or Heartbeat and DRBD 8. On the client side the management console requires a Java environment, on the servers it just needs SSH access, to execute the required commands for the management of the cluster. The DRBD can be downloaded as a Jar package from http://oss.linbit.com/drbd-mc.
