Top500 and Green500 Lists Merge

By

Famous HPC lists will share a single submission process.

The Top500 list of the fastest supercomputers, and the Green500 list, which highlights the most energy-efficient supercomputers, have merged to streamline future submission processes. ISC Group, promoters of the Top500 list, will maintain the web presence of the Green500 list. According to Top500 co-founder Erich Strohmaier, “Both projects will now be maintained under a common set of rules for data submission, which will simplify the process for submitters and provide a consistent set of data for the historical record.”

The influential lists will still appear separately. This change primarily affects the submission and selection process. For more information, see the Energy Efficient High Performance Computing Power Measurement Methodology.
