Monitoror is a quick solution to set up for a few tens of servers and services to make binary decisions about what and where things are failing. Vigil adds more functionality over Monitoror to probe a large number of infrastructure endpoints, and Statping-ng goes even further and provides more user friendliness and professional black box monitoring, presenting tough competition even to expensive enterprise solutions.
