Ubuntu 16.10 Server and GParted
On the DVD
Ubuntu Server 16.10 (64-bit Install)
The server install image lets you install Ubuntu permanently on a computer as a server, with no graphical user interface. This DVD has a 64-bit (AMD64) server install image [1] that takes full advantage of computers based on the AMD64 or EM64T architecture (i.e., most 64-bit Intel or AMD processors). If you have a non-64-bit processor, need full support for 32-bit code, or are unsure of your computer specifications, download an i386 image instead [2]. Ubuntu 16.10 includes the latest OpenStack release, Newton, and a full complement of components [3].
GParted (32-bit Live)
The GParted Live image provides access to the GParted graphical partition editor, a tool for managing disk partitions [4]. With GParted, you can resize, copy, and move partitions without data loss, enabling you to grow or shrink your hard drive, create space for new operating systems, or attempt to rescue data from lost partitions [5]. GParted supports the following filesystems:
- Btrfs
- ext2/ext3/ext4
- FAT16/FAT32
- HFS/HFS+
- linux-swap
- NTFS
- ReiserFS/Reiser4
- XFS, and others
