Fujitsu Announces Open Source Quantum Operations Software
Fujitsu recently announced the launch of its open source operations software for quantum computers on GitHub.
The Open Quantum Toolchain for Operators and Users (OQTOPUS) software is part of the company’s aim to lower the barrier to deploying quantum computers in the cloud. According to the company, the software “can be customized to meet individual user needs and is expected to help make practical quantum computing a reality.”
Products in the OQTOPUS ecosystem include:
- Oqtopus-cloud–pen Quantum Toolchain for OPerators & USers (OQTOPUS) provides the architecture of cloud quantum computers.
- Oqtopus-frontend–The web-based frontend application for OQTOPUS.
- Tranqu–A one-stop framework for transpilers across multiple quantum programming libraries and formats for quantum circuits.
Fujitsu plans to integrate the software into its existing service for research partners who use its quantum computers later in 2025.
