CentOS 7 Released

New edition marks the first version of the RHEL clone since the merger with Red Hat.

The CentOS team has announced the release of CentOS 7. CentOS is a clone built from Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) source code, and the CentOS team typically announces a new release a couple weeks after RHEL releases a new version.
This version is the first major release since CentOS entered into an official partnership with Red Hat. The biggest change in the press announcement is that CentOS can now talk about their relationship with the Red Hat codebase, whereas before they had to avoid mentioning Red Hat.
The internals of the new CentOS are understandably similar to the recently announced RHEL 7 release. The new release features several new cloud features, including better container support.
