On successful implementation of this method, your primary focus will shift away from the operating system and network analysis. Instead, your efforts will center on creating and archiving OS images, maintaining the hypervisor, and responding to email alerts.
With the abundance of automation and monitoring tools out there today, you have very little reason not to combine them to be more than the sum of their parts. Any program or suite of programs that can invoke a scripting language or an API can be used to create a self-healing system, as I have presented in this article.
