D-Wave's Murray Thom discusses the present and future of quantum computing.
Quantum Computing with D-Wave
The Future
The extreme environment necessary for quantum computing means that quantum computers will probably never replace classical hardware for everyday systems like a desktop computer or a handheld device. According to Murray Thom, the quantum computers of the future will work together with classical devices to tackle day-to-day computing as well as complex, enterprise-level problems across industries.
The future of quantum computing is hybrid. A diverse set of quantum technologies – combined with classical computing hardware – will work in tandem to serve our future needs.
