Valkey 8.0.0 Released
The Valkey project has released Valkey 8.0.0, marking the first major release since the project became generally available earlier this year.
“The project continues the traditions of the seven major versions of Redis that precede it by bringing improvements to speed and efficiency alongside new features,” says Kyle Davis, Senior Developer Advocate on the project.
The changes and features in this latest version of Valkey – a high-performance, open source, in-memory data store – are detailed in the release notes with sections covering: performance, reliability, replication, observability, and efficiency, Davis says.
Valkey 8.0.0 has gone through multiple rounds of release candidates, testing, and verification and is considered ready for production usage.
