Global Spending on IT Services to Reach 2 Trillion by 2028
Forrester predicts that annual global spending on IT services will reach $2 trillion by 2028.
According to recent analysis, “the IT services industry will average 4.6% annual growth, with infrastructure as a service (IaaS) averaging annual growth of nearly 16%.” Growth is expected to be driven by the following factors:
- Financial services and manufacturing
- Managed services
- Cybersecurity
The IT services industry, however, still faces challenges including “retaining talent and balancing headcount with increased competition from software and engineering firms and the effects of generative AI.” the analysis states.
