AWS Announces Security Incident Response Service
AWS has announced the AWS Security Incident Response service, which is designed to help organizations quickly and effectively manage security events.
“The service is purpose-built to help customers prepare for, respond to, and recover from various security events, including account takeovers, data breaches, and ransomware attacks,” says Betty Zheng in the announcement.
The service lets you:
- Automate monitoring and investigation to free up your resources.
- Accelerate communication and coordination for rapid incident response.
- Centralize tracking, storage, and management of current and past security events for continual improvement.
- Access self-service investigation tools along with 24/7 support from AWS security experts.
Specifically, the AWS Security Incident Response service “automates the triage and investigation of security findings from Amazon GuardDuty and integrated third-party threat detection tools through AWS Security Hub,” the announcement says.
